Hello everyone!
I would first like to introduce to you the newest additions to our administration team! -drumroll-

Hopefully in the next week or so they can properly introduce themselves in another blog. But for now I would love for everyone to give them a warm welcome! They will be working alongside me to manage the group. I'm sure you guys will come to love them dearly! They are two fabulous girls and I can't wait to see where this newly established administration team will take the group!
Beyond this exciting news, I also have another news that may not be quite as exciting, but is important for all members to read! We will be introducing a few new rules to the group that have not been in place before. We are trying to maintain a gallery that is of the utmost quality to our members. While we still want to accept works from varying levels of artists, we will now be declining some artwork in regards to quality.
The new rules are as follows:
Absolutely no color. Not even a color splash. If the photo/work is tinted, I'm afraid it also must be declined, so if it appears a little too blue or red, unfortunately we must decline as the image has not been properly grayscaled. This rule is not new to the group, but the next few will be.

No blurry images. If the image lacks focus, again, decline the image. While we accepts works of varying levels, blurry or extremely out of focus images are no longer going to be accepted to give the group a stronger sense of quality in our gallery.

For traditional artwork, the image must be taken/scanned properly. The image cannot reveal color around the work, even if the work itself is black and white. Also, the image of the work should be taken in a way that shows the work at it's optimimum level. If the image or scan of the work is blurry or shadowed, it will most likely be declined.

No snapshots. A snapshot is essentially a picture you might see on facebook or myspace. While we accept black and white portraits, we no longer accept works that are considered snapshots. Basically, if the image has been taking in the bathroom using a mirror or in similar means, it will be be declined.
That is all for now! I hope to see many submissions from you guys tomorrow when we return the group to requiring works be acccepted into the gallery instead of automatic acception.
Kindest regards,
Madi
